Select Windows

1. Pick Your Window Style.

The operating style of your windows can vary greatly. Each has a specific purpose or advantage. Horizontal Sliders are popular for their ease of use and contemporary styling. Single Hungs and Casement windows offer a more traditional look, while Picture Windows are available in nearly any shape to complete your window design. Bays, Bows and Garden Windows open your home to the outdoors, allowing even more natural light to brighten your interiors.

2. What Color?

Simonton Vinyl Windows are available in a solid White, Almond or Bronze or Hunter Green specialty color. Simonton only offers specialty colors in some regions of the country and with certain glass combinations.

3. Grids Or No Grids?

Typically, today’s homebuilders specify grids in traditional home designs and leave them out for more contemporary home styles. The grids are located between the panes of glass making cleaning a breeze. You can choose from a 5/8″ flat grid or a more traditional 1-1/16″ sculptured grid. The grids will match the color of the window frame (for co-extruded windows, the exterior of the window frame, and the interior grid surface is White). When it comes to grids, be creative. The use of grids in our vinyl Patio Doors gives a French Door look. Perimeter grids (grids that follow the perimeter of the window frame) have also become quite popular.

4. Glass For Purpose.

There are more than 30 combinations of glass available from Simonton to control everything from the Sun’s heat and Ultraviolet rays to excessive sound and safety issues. And just about everything in between. Even our obscure glass selection for the bathroom will amaze you. Let your Simonton professional help guide you to the glass that’s right for your needs.
